Healthy Monday at Syracuse University and the multiethnic ladies of Mu Sigma Upsilon Sorority, present Salsa Mondays, Healthy Monday’s new student-created mini-program.
These Latin Repo Mix classes provide instruction on the art of this zumba-style dance, popular the world over. Classes will be open to all students with SU ID every Monday, starting October 19th from 3-4 p.m. at Campus Fitness Hall on 171 Marshall Street (next to J. Michael Shoes). Chips, salsa, and other refreshments will be available, with classes open to all students.
On November 16th and December 7th, Salsa Monday will supplement its regular one fitness class with free fitness classes all day Monday, featuring strength training, karate, dance, and yoga classes. For a list of available classes on those days please call (315) 289-6099.
Mu Sigma Upsilon’s social chair, Nayma Silver is excited about working with Healthy Monday to facilitate this event.
“The sisters of Mu Sigma Upsilon Sorority are more than delighted to be a part of such unification on campus,” Silver said. “We want to provide the community something amazing! MSU will be working to ensure this is one of the most satisfactory activities for everyone participating.”
